My weekend

Saturday: I spent most of my afternoon with my friend Sophie. We mostly just talked which sometimes like on Saturday is really nice. When Sophie left I did some homework and things.
Around six o'clock my dad came home from Sweden, he's been there for about two weeks.
We just had a nice evening. I also got some Christmas presents from my Uncle and Aunt, since we didn't see them this Christmas. I'll show them in a post. Later we watched a movie my brother got.

Sunday: We took it easy in the forenoon. We went to eat lunch at our favorite sushi place haha. Then my dad had to leave because he was going to Vietnam. My mum, brother and I are also going there on Thursday for a long weekend, very nice :) After the lunch my grandma, mum brother and I went to a stationary shop because I needed to buy notebooks. But when we came there the shop was closed, probably because it was Sunday. But the thing that was good was that just opposite was a shop that also sold some notebooks so I could buy them there which was good. Afterwards we went to a art shop my grandma wanted to got to, but unfortunately that shop was closed too. So we went home.

This week

Monday: Check out my last post for what happened on Monday-My first day at Island school

Tuesday: No school for me because it was teacher training. I thought it was nice that I had Tuesday off, because the first week and especially the first day at a new school is always very intense and stuff. I was at home most of the day and took it easy. I went to see '12 years a slave' it is about a slave, and it has wone a lot of Oscars. So I went to see it, but I was only in the cinema for about half an hour because I couldn't take it.  The people who has seen it know what I mean, but for the people who haven't seen it is a lot of beating and things in it, at least from what I saw in the beginning.  I don't think I would have been able to see it at home, but it is even worse at the cinema because it is very dark and the screen is big. Just to clarify I'm not saying it's not good it probably really is, but I'm just saying I could't take it. Even thought I couldn't take it and I didn't see the whole movie I can see why it has won an Oscar. When I came home again I fixed some more stuff. I for example put a photo into a frame I got for Christmas.

Wednesday: I went to school. Apparently my history teacher is Danish, so she talked a bit with me because some Danish and Swedish words are the same so that was quite fun haha. I then had Chinese. First I went to one class then they told me I had to go to another class, and then we walked there, but then it was the wrong room so we had to walk all the way back down again haha. My last lesson of day was Science, we're learning about bones and that kind of stuff. My school ended at two, so it was nice.

Thursday: I had school haha. I had math and then textiles, which I haven't had since I lived in Sweden so it was fun! We're designing a pair of shorts. Then for my three last lessons I had elements which is a course where you can choose what to do. I have language, so I have my Swedish lesson during one of the three lessons.

Friday: I went to school. My first lesson was math haha, then I had English. Then science, but I have two different science lessons. The one on Tuesday we're learning about bones and stuff as I mentioned, but in the science lesson on Friday, we're learning about acids and metals and that kind of things. Then I had French, where they had a test, which I also took because the teacher wanted to see what level of French I'm on. My last period on Friday was drama! Which was fun (not that the other lessons weren't fun, but you know what I mean) I was really happy that it was Friday, and especially because it meant that my first week was over.

First day at Island school

Hello! Today it was Monday, but it wasn't just any Monday, it was my first day Island school! Believe me I was nervous before, but it all went well. These three girls from my class, came to meet me at the main entrance and they showed me my time table and stuff, then they took me up to my form room to meet the whole class. The teacher told every one kind of like this: 'This is Klara the new student'. Haha quite obvious.
Well then I had class with one of the girls that had met me at the entrance. We had a double period of exploration, where they were working on a documentary. Then we had break and study period, time when you can study obviously. During the study period the same girl I had exploration with that came to meet me at the entrance and a girl from my class showed me around the school a bit, and we were trying to find a teacher because for the next two periods we had sort of like P.E, but they call it escape. We needed to find the teacher because nobody had told me I had escape today, so I didn't bring my P.E kit to school. Also because I needed to decide what I would choose to have for escape. But unfortunately the teacher wasn't there, and so I had Zumba with the girl from my class because the other three girl that came to meet me at the entrance were going outside of school. We couldn't find a spare P.E kit so I had to do Zumba in my uniform haha. Also since the teacher wasn't there, I'm probably going to choose what I'm going to do next week. So my last period before lunch I had Zumba, then lunch. At Elsa they served lunch, but here at Island you could either buy it or bring packed lunch, I brought packed lunch. After lunch we had the second period of  Zumba, and then my first day at Island school was over! I had had quite fun actually, but I was also happy my first day was over! My school ends at 15:10 and I was home around 15:25-15:30, more then one hour earlier then at Elsa.
Guess what? Tomorrow they have a teacher training, and so there is no school!

Good Friday

Yesterday it was Friday. It was a good one! My grandma and I went to have lunch with my mum, at this super good Japanese restaurant. Afterwards my grandma and I went to buy some stuff, she needed to buy a notebook and then after we went to H&M because I wanted to look at jeans. I tried to pair that were really nice, but I want to wait a bit until I buy them. At H&M I also looked at their accessories and I found a pair of rings that were super cute, so those I bought! After that my grandma and I went to buy flowers, because today it's International Women's Day. So my grandma bought one rose to each one of us and one bouquet of some flower I don't know the name of, but it was pretty haha. After dinner I talked with my friend Sophie, because they came back from Israel on Thursday I think. Afterwards we looked at 'Seven year in Tibet' with Brad Pitt, my mum had been wanting to see that movie for like half a year haha. The movie was good, even thought maybe it's not the kind of movies I look at so much it was good!

A talk on how to be happy

What we listened to yesterday, was a talk on how to be happy.
One think that I really thought of, not that the other things she said didn't fascinate me but there was some things that I really thought of and this was one of them: She said that you should not see a problem as a problem and be like 'what have I done, I don't deserve this?' You should think of it, as something that you should learn from, and things come and go, the problem won't stay there forever! The second thing she said was that you should live in the moment and have a happy moment! Instead of thinking of the future or the past, just be in the present. Also when you think about that you could have had a happy moment your missing the chance to have a happy moment, instead your thinking that you could have had one, when you could have spent that time as a happy moment. The third thing she said was that, real happiness doesn't come from, for example going shopping and buying something you really like, of course it makes you happy and it's not that you shouldn't do it. It's just that real happiness comes from within you and not by going shopping. These things sound hard but still easy to do if you ask me. All these things are so clear and obvious somehow. These were only three things from all the things she said yesterday, I honestly thought it was really amazing hearing her say all of this and I will probably try to do some of these things in my life because I think you can feel better by doing them. :)

Do we live in a cloud?

First of all I just wanted to say great job yesterday, amazing, I think it was a record! The statistics on the blog was really high, let's keep it up guys! :)

It's almost like we live in a cloud. Yesterday when I took this picture this was our view. It's because of all the fog and probably a bit because we live so high up. Somehow it's a bit cosy because it's wet outside, a bit cold and we have fog so we can't see anything, haha I know it sounds weird but it is somehow cosy :)  (I really don't think we have fog because the air is bad, it's because of the weather) Today it's better but still quite a lot of fog.

Baking cake pops

Yesterday evening my grandma and I baked cake pops, and today we finished coating them in white chocolate and with sprinkles. It was the first time both of us baked cake pops, I thought they turned out well!  You can go to the website we used to bake the by clicking here Other then that not much has happened, on Tuesday I had math tutor and yesterday I had my Swedish class. This evening we're going to somewhere because my mum's yoga friend/instructor is going to talk about something and we're going to listen to that.

Good Monday

Today was a good Monday, and I wonder why? Probably because there was no school for me haha. In one week it will my first day at Island school *squeak* I'm nervous but it'll probably be fun, and by this time of the day my first day will be over.
So what was my day like? I took it easy and we ate lunch and stuff. After lunch my grandma and I went down to Central. Because I wanted to buy a calendar/journal, we went to the store and at first we couldn't find it and so we asked and they said the last day for selling it was yesterday :( But then she recognized me from Saturday and she asked me if I was looking for a calendar with flowers on it and that was what I was looking for. So she told me that actually yesterday was the last day the sold it (as I said before) but then she said that they still had it in storage so I could buy it yaaaay! I'll show it in another post. We also went to buy color ink for the printer. We then we to buy some thing to bring home for a coffee, so we went to a coffee shop kind of obvious right? Well so we bought some brownies to take home and then went home haha. I'll show you guys the brownies in a post.

Morning

I didn't sleep so well, I woke up and my neck was tense, ugh. I woke up early and for some reason my brother did too (he is at home because he is sick). I went up and made some smoothie. The smoothie was good, but for some reason it was hard to drink probably I put too much yoghurt? So I had to eat it with a spoon haha.

This weekend

Saturday:   

We went to our favorite sushi place for lunch. Afterwards my brother, dad, grandma and I went to look for a calendar/journal because I thought it would be fun to have one where you can write down birthdays and fun things to look forward to. I found one that was quite nice. In the evening my parents went to a wedding reception, so my grandma took care of us. 

Sunday: 

We took it quite easy, I fixed a bit in my room and stuff. We went to eat a late lunch/early dinner at a restaurant. Afterwards my grandma and I went to see if we could find some other calendar/journal, but we couldn't find one that was better then the one I saw yesterday. So I'll probably but it. We met the others at home. When we came home we ate something called "Semla" it is a special bun that we eat in Sweden. We're actually supposed to eat on Tuesday, but both of my parents will be away so we decided to eat them today. It is actually an old tradition because it is very rich and so we used to eat it before we fasted. I'll post a picture of it.

Grandma came to HK

On Friday my grandma came to HK. I went to the airport to meet her! After I picked her up we went for a coffee for quite a long time. It was nice to talk a bit about everything. She's going to stay for over two weeks I think, fun! We came back to our place about the same time as my brother came home from school.
